Cannot connect to Internet. "The remote device or resource won't accept the connection"
Well I'm on Windows 8 and my computer has been running fine until yesterday. Randomly at around 8:00, my internet shit itself and it wouldn't work. I tried resetting the router and such but nothing worked. My computer can connect to the internet connection, but when I boot up Google Chrome it will not work. So I did some troubleshooting and eventually it said this "The remote device or resource won't accept the connection". And it's not only my internet browser that won't work. Other apps like Skype won't connect either. After looking at another thread, I tried resetting the settings on Internet Explorer and changing the Proxy thing but nothing worked. Someone also suggested downloading Hitman, but that was stupid considering I couldn't even connect to the internet. I had Windows Defender scan my computer and it said there was nothing wrong. So I'm not sure what is up. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

What troubleshooting steps have you done?

Have you tried with Ethernet? Does it show you are connected but you have no internet access? Does it have a ! on the wireless symbol?

You can try uninstalling and re-installing driver in device manager.  windows+r type "Devmgmt.msc" w/out quotes expand network adapters and right click on the wireless and uninstall --> reboot the computer and try connecting

You can open up an admin command prompt and try resetting wireless

Netsh int ip reset

Netsh winsock reset

Netsh advfirewall reset

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

Any additional information will help

By troubleshooting I meant that I right clicked on the Internet thing in the corner of the screen and clicked troubleshoot problems. I have not tried with Ethernet. It does show that I am connected and yes I cannot access anything Internet related. But no it does not have a ! on the wireless symbol. I will try re-installing the driver.

Make sure other device connected to your internet don't have similar issue

is there any changes before this issue happen? install, reinstall, windows update, HW changes, router setting or environment changes

just try at safe mode with networking, if its fine at safe mode with networking, than something to do with 3rd party software, antivirus, firewall ect. Try to restore your PC using restore point

if this issue also persist at safe mode, its considering driver or hardware failure (try to update driver, reinstall or run basic TS regarding WLan issue)
